2. Europe Show Zwönitz 2011

The highlight of the show season was the Europe Show in Zwoenitz, Germany held on January 8 & 9, 2011. This annual gathering, offered us the opportunity to exhibit our seasons very best impressions and at the same time welcome exhibitors and friends from all over the world that have a common interest in Saxon Color Pigeon‘s. The show brought together exhibitors and breeders from France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Germany.
Our show organization team was concerned about the weather. Because over the Christmas holiday, we’d received a lot of snow and the temperatures dropped and it became very cold. We were fortunate, because even though the temperatures were low, it was warm enough to assist in melting much of the snow on the roads before the show began. Snow accumulation on the sides of the roads from the snow plows, made parking quite difficult. But everything worked out just fine and our show was a huge success!.
We are pleased to report that the total entries reached approximately 2,500 color pigeons for this years Europe Show in Zwoenitz, Germany. Our visiting friends from other nations were very impressed with the high number of birds being exhibited as well as the exceptional high quality. The number of Color Pigeons on display is much higher than what they experience in North America in their shows..
This was the first time in the history, that we had elected to single out the best birds of the show and give them an award for Best of Show.
We are extremely grateful to the head of the show Dieter Kunstmann and his team for doing such a fantastic job of organizing and implimenting their plan for our Europe Show in Zwoenitz. Thank so very much!
